The series of sculptures titled Plugs, Pores, Walls & Lures responds to the practice of self-design as a form of mass occupation, common identity and pseudo individuality in populair culture. Our bodies are as vessels in a neoliberal system that function both as carriers of fluctuating fashions as well as promotors of the system in which these fashions have value. With hair, earrings, scrunchies, wall plugs and gallery walls, the series talks about the identity of the feminine as a commercially constructed value.
